Ahead of Demon Slayer Saison 3’s release, Shueisha has dropped a special promotional video that shows the Twelve Kizuku or Demon Moons on the Jump Comics YouTube channel Friday, February 3. The clip highlights the new saison’s main antagonists, led by Muzan Kibutsuji himself.
Demon Slayer Saison 3 will cover the Swordsmith Village arc, seeing Tanjiro and the rest of the gang in another adventure to kill the demons lurking around. But aside from the new enemies the group has to face, the clip also shows the other Twelve Kizuki members who have already appeared in the series.
The 57-second clip features the animated manga-panel style of all Shueisha promotional videos. It starts featuring Muzan and next shows Rui, the Lower Moon Rank 5 whom Giyuu and Tanjiro defeated in the first saison.
Enmu is next seen, the Lower Rank 1 from the Mugen Train arc. Tanjiro and Inosuke also successfully put this enemy down.
The clip then next focuses on Akaza, the Upper Rank 3 devil who managed to kill Kyojuro Rengoku. He’s about to play a major role in Demon Slayer Saison 3, and a battle between him and Tanjiro is quite expected.
Daki and Gyutarou, the Upper Rank 6 siblings, were both defeated during the second saison’s Entertainment District. From here, the main antagonists for the new saison have started to be featured.
Gyokko and Hantengu, Upper Rank 5 and 4, respectively, are the Two Upper Moons who will appear in the Swordsmith Village arc. They’re set to face the Love Hashira Mitsuri Kanroji and the Mist Hashira Muichiro Tokito.
The clip then goes on to show the other Upper-Rank devils before giving a glimpse of Muzan again. It features Kaigaku, the new Upper Rank 6; Azaka, Upper Rank 3; Doma, Upper Rank 2; and Kokushibo, Upper Rank 1. However, the video doesn’t feature Nakime, seemingly trying to avoid spoiling Demon Slayer Saison 3 for anime-only fans.
Meanwhile, the new saison is one of the most awaited anime releases this year. Hence, it may only be fitting to have the best theme song sung by one of the greatest bands in the country.
If the rumors are true, one of Japan’s top bands will play its official soundtrack. Yahoo! Japan claimed One OK Rock had been approached to do the new saison’s theme song, though nothing is confirmed yet. Hence, it remains to be seen who will sing the new saison’s soundtrack.
Demon Slayer Saison 3 will premiere in April 2023.
