Dua Lipa is reportedly dating a new guy. After sparking romance rumors with Jack Harlow and a kissing stint with Trevor Noah, the pop singer reportedly goes out with the filmmaker Romain Gavras, Rita Ora’s ex.
Allegedly, these two have been dating for a while now. So, what’s the real deal between Lipa and Gavras?
A source told The Sun that the alleged couple has been getting to know each other for several months now and enjoying spending time together. They have much in common and have already met their close circles.
The insider added that the music video director’s career and experience in dating Ora for six months in 2020 was a plus in their brewing romance. The songwriter allegedly knows the importance of finding someone who understands the entertainment industry she’s in, and she believes Gavras gets it, as they’re both creative people.
To prove their affair, they were photographed leaving a BAFTA Awards afterparty in London last week, though Gavras kept a short distance behind Lipa, wearing a black hoodie and hiding most of his face. They both entered a chauffeur-driven car before driving off, per News.com.au. They were also seen together in a post on Instagram on Christmas, along with some friends.
The Levitating hitmaker has been single since her split from model Anwar Hadid in 2021. Alternatively, Gavras parted ways with Ora in March of the same year.
Lipa and Ora are often compared to each other after the former rise to stardom in 2016. Their parents are both from Kosovo.
They even attended the same theater school in London and reportedly had a close bond before having bad blood. However, neither of the two has confirmed these claims.
Meanwhile, the Lipa-Gavras dating rumors came after the claims that the 27-year-old and Harlow dated. A different source told Page Six that the two were in constant communication after meeting at the Variety Hitmakers Brunch in Los Angeles in December 2022.
The insider added that the rapper was very much interested in her and determined to pursue the romance. This could even be proved by his song titled Dua Lipa.
This alleged romance came on the heels of Lipa being spotted kissing Trevor in September 2022. Another source told Hollywood Life back then that things were new for the two, but the Break My Heart singer enjoyed spending time with the former Daily Show host.
