Robin Wright finally breaks her silence over her recent reunion with her former husband, Sean Penn. Amid the rekindling of romance rumors, the actress cleared that their outing was for their kids, Dylan and Hopper Penn.

Wright and Sean were seen again together for the first time in years at LAX in January. From there, rumors about their rekindled romance began.

In an interview with E! News, the 56-year-old said it was a gift to be friends with the father of her children, explaining that being divorced with kids was one of the most difficult things in life.

The House of Cards alum revealed that when they were spotted together last month, they were about to attend an event for their children. She continued that they would always be a family whether they were together or apart, wishing everyone in the same situation could be like them.

For starters, Wright and Seen were spotted for the first time since 2017 traveling together from LAX. The ex-couple tied the knot in 1996 and divorced in 2010.

The outing came timely after the Forrest Gump star filed for divorce from her husband, Clément Giraudet, following four years of marriage. Alternatively, the 62-year-old actor finalized his split from Leila George in April 2022 after the latter filed a divorce from him in 2021.

Meanwhile, after their breakup, Wright and Sean had the chance to work with their children on different projects. Like their parents, Dylan and Hopper have followed in their parents’ footsteps and joined the entertainment world.

Dylan and her dad worked together for the 2021 movie Flag Day, while the former also collaborated with her brother in the 2022 film Signs of Love. Most recently, Wright played an on-screen mother to Hopper in the upcoming movie Devil’s Peak, which will premiere on Friday, February 17.

So, will fans have the chance to see this family of artists on the big screen together in the future? Wright seemed fond of the idea, calling it amazing.

She stressed that their family has always been a unit, and she remains hopeful that they can always work together, with one of them with the other or all three or four of them in one project.

Though Hopper also loves the idea, revealing he loves working with his mom, he wants to make a name and do his own thing. As the films he has done so far have been with a family member, Wright believes her son’s time would come.
